John Curtius is a Princeton-educated software specialist who became head of software investing at Tiger Global in 2017, where he led Tiger's shift from consumer-tech to software-focused investing and reportedly generated around $4.5 billion in profits through more than 25 public software investments and over 45 private software deals including Snowflake, Salesforce, Zoom, and Databricks. After leading more than 100-250 Tiger deals and becoming synonymous with the firm's aggressive software push, he left to raise a $1 billion fund at Cedar Investment Management focused specifically on early-stage enterprise software in the US and Europe.
