About Joachim Laqueur
Joachim Laqueur grew up in a venture capital family where his father co-founded the first VC firm in the Netherlands, giving him dinner-table exposure to deal analysis from his teens, and later co-founded a biofuel startup in Austria where he raised €27M before moving into venture capital. At Acrobator Ventures, he co-built what's described as effectively the only Western pre-seed/seed VC operating locally out of Kyiv with an Amsterdam headquarters, using long-standing family networks in Eastern Europe to access diaspora founders that many Western investors struggle to reach.
