About Emily McMahan
Emily McMahan is a West Point-trained Army veteran who served as a military police officer in Iraq and Afghanistan, then became CFO at government contractor Halfaker and Associates before transitioning to venture capital—giving her rare operator experience in both military service and scaling federal contracting businesses. She co-created the Academy Investor Network, the first investor syndicate specifically for graduates of the five U.S. service academies, to solve the structural gap where no alumni angel network existed due to the academies' missions, and she deliberately built this bridge to help veterans become accredited investors and access early-stage deals.
